It is not until you need a lifeline emergency service, that you realise just how important it is. Guernsey and the rest of the Bailiwick rely around the clock on a network of emergency responders to protect and keep us safe.

Aimed at celebrating our young people, this award is aimed at those who deserve a special pat on the back whether it be due to their achievements in their studies or in a hobby, or a talent in sport or the arts.

Our islands are a showcase for artistic talent and we boast a large and vibrant arts community, from musicians, actors and dancers, to painters, sculptors, producers and directors.

They are the quiet army, selflessly giving their time to care for and look after the welfare of others - whether it be for a loved one, friend or simply someone they know.

This award recognises a person or organisation who embraces diversity and inclusion, making the community or their workplace a better place to be.

An award that gives grandchildren a chance to say thank-you for all the love and support they receive from a grandparent or grandparents.

Sports Volunteer

Almost every person involved in sport in our islands, from the elite medal-winners to our most social participants, started at grass roots level and inevitably were helped along their sporting journey by volunteers.

Teacher of the Year

There are good teachers and then there are great teachers. This award seeks to recognise those who have inspired countless children through innovative teaching methods, making learning fun and creating an enjoyable, warm and friendly learning environment.
