Terina Norman

Terina Norman has been nominated for the Neighbour of the Year award, sponsored by Guernsey Energy.

‘Terina is a very caring person and looks after many of us, popping in to see if we are well and if we need anything,’ said her nominator, Katina Jones.

‘She takes us to the shops or anywhere we might need to go. nothing is too much trouble for her.

‘It was her idea to have an event at Christmas at our community area with a carol service and a visit from Father Christmas.

‘When we had a power cut late one dark night, she popped around to make sure many of us had a light, bringing out her own lanterns or torches to give out if needed.

‘We only have to call for her and she will help us if she can.

‘She has offered to look after me when I go in for a second knee replacement as my husband is unable to and my children are working, so they can know I will be in safe hands.

‘She also looks after her own teenage granddaughters when needed. She is a good person and neighbour and friend to all where we live.’

Katina and Terina have been neighbours for four years.

‘You’re joking!’ Terina said on being told of her nomination.
