FOR THE past 10 years Jane Beausire has tirelessly kept the operation running smoothly at one of the island’s most vital medical services, Bulstrode House.

Mrs Beausire is welcoming, warm and never without a smile – she is described by her nominator for the Alexander Daniels-sponsored Customer Service of the Year Award with great fondness and respect and made them feel as comfortable as they could feel visiting the unit for the first time.

‘On a person’s first visit to Bulstrode House she puts you at ease with a smiling face and helpful demeanour. She will check what your appointment is for, all with a smiley face, and if your appointment is running late then she will be sure to inform you. If a person needs a wheelchair she organises one rather than see you struggle. She will organise a taxi if needed without a long wait. If a phone call is made she will make sure that you get an answer and she never forgets a person’s first name. Jane makes the whole experience a whole lot less stressful.’

Mrs Beausire said: ‘I am honoured to have been nominated for the award. I am one of the receptionists, an administrator and consultant liaison at Bulstrode House. The people who come through here are coming here for their own wellbeing, at often very serious times. For them to take the time to nominate you when they are going through so much themselves, it is an honour.’
