JO MARSH has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award for her hard work and dedication at Forest Primary School.

Mrs Marsh is the learning support assistant at Forest and was nominated by the mother of one of the students she helps.

‘Jo is amazing,’ nominator Helen O’Hara said.

‘She is patient and kind and helps my son Fletch achieve all of his goals.’

Fletch has learned to walk independently and even managed to run in a race in the school’s sports day thanks to Mrs Marsh making the events accessible for him.

‘Jo did every event so Fletch could join in and take part,’ Mrs O’Hara said.

‘My son has come on 100%.’

She said Mrs Marsh is brilliant at sign language and Fletch looks forward to seeing her every day.

‘She has been our angel over the last year and she is our amazing little boy’s special friend.’
