Pride of Guernsey: Ollie Chedhomme

OLLIE CHEDHOMME is a talented 16-year-old sportsman who has been nominated for the St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort-sponsored Young Achiever of the Year Award by Phil Sykes.

‘Ollie lives, eats and breathes sport,’ he said. ‘His work ethic is fantastic and I don’t know many others that put the amount of time into practise as he does.

‘He now has one of the lowest golf junior handicaps in the island.

‘He is also the Grande Mare junior champion and the island junior champion and is looking towards county play at the end of the year.’

He added: ‘Ollie is a great guy, unselfish and always happy to help out with younger junior players when needed.

‘A giver not a taker.’
