Pride of Guernsey: Debbie Clarke

NOMINEE for the Specsavers-sponsored Carer of the Year award Debbie Clarke provides ‘invaluable support and advice’ for clients at the Guernsey Blind Association.

Nominator Liz Bramley put her forward after visiting the charity for over a decade.

‘The GBA are an incredible charity supporting visually impaired and blind people in Guernsey,’ Liz said.

‘I have used the service for over 10 years and Debbie has been there every step of the way.

‘She is really approachable and friendly and always finds ways she can help – she is an amazing resource to have.’

Liz said that Debbie would come to her workplace and drop things off for her.

‘Nothing is ever too much trouble and I genuinely cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for me and other islanders living with sight loss.’
