RBC has partnered with Liberate to sponsor the Pride of Guernsey Diversity and Inclusion Award.

At the Royal Bank of Canada we believe that diverse perspectives contribute significantly to enabling our businesses to succeed. We continuously and consciously ensure that ideas are fostered through our diverse workforce while collaborating and unlocking each other’s potential. We strive to create opportunities that empower our employees to be aware of and accept others, and by fostering an inclusive culture where our employees can bring their whole selves to work and contribute their ideas, experiences and talents to the fullest.

RBC has a 105 employee-strong Pride Employee Resource Group across the Channel Islands. The group contributes to creating a more inclusive, cohesive and sustainable work environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) employees. It serves as a platform for our LGBT employees and allies to connect.

As the Channel Islands’ first LGBT community, Liberate welcomes people irrespective of sexual orientation, gender identity, religious belief, race, gender or disability. RBC shares all of these values, which is why we are delighted to partner and sponsor this year’s Pride of Guernsey Diversity and Inclusion Award together.

Celebrating diversity and inclusion creates an inclusive environment for employees and clients, which fulfils RBC’s purpose of helping clients thrive and communities prosper.

Liberate founded Channel Island Pride back in 2015, with RBC being a committed partner sharing the same core values. In 2019 RBC sponsored the silent disco at Channel Island Pride in Jersey and hopes to sponsor the same initiative at the 2020 event in Guernsey.
