A TEACHER who will do anything to make her students feel happy and comfortable is how one parent described Aisling Golland.

Nominated for the HSBC-sponsored Teacher of the Year award by Kim Walker, whose daughter Tianna is taught by the St Martin’s Primary School Year 4 teacher, Miss Golland was described as a ‘credit to the school’.

Ms Walker said: ‘She has been the most amazing teacher to my daughter for the last year and has just been incredible.

‘She is thoughtful, kind and understanding and very encouraging and patient towards her students and will do anything she can to make her students feel happy and comfortable – a real credit to St Martin’s School.’

She added this was further emphasised when lockdown came.

‘When we were having to do distance learning, her daily videos were a real help to my daughter and all the other students,’ she said.

‘Her communication has been fantastic throughout the whole year.

‘She has been so reassuring to myself and my daughter.

‘Miss Golland has such a big heart and really deserves to be recognised for the amazing work she does.’
