PULSE FUELS on Braye Road has been nominated for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award for extending kindness and excellent service.

Formerly Braye Road Garage, it reopened on 11 May under the management of Craig’s Motor Care.

No task is too much trouble for the staff, who have filled the boots of their forecourt forerunners exceptionally well.

‘They’re very good down there,’ said their nominator. ‘I always go there for my petrol. I did when it was Braye Road Garage and now they are just as good.’

Service feels personal to the customer rather than feeling like just another to come by.

‘When I arrive they fill up my petrol, fill up my washers, my wiper water. They pump my tyres up, sort out my steering fluid. You get that personal service, I can’t fault the garage at all.’

Finding a suitable like-for-like replacement car is another task they took on.

‘At the moment I have found steering is very hard in my car, it’s an awful thing really. I’m waiting for a replacement Daihatsu like my last car to come in and they’re helping me with it.’

Staff never let on that anything is a bother and make you feel welcome and included.

‘It’s just so nice to have people serving you like that. They are always very polite and have happy smiling faces. People are so kind.’
