Customer Service of the Year: Sandra Alves and Paulo Virissimo

TWO members of staff at Admiral Park’s Iceland store have been put forward for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award. Sandra Alves and Paulo Virissimo were described as two people who always work very hard by nominator Mariana Virissimo.

TWO members of staff at Admiral Park’s Iceland store have been put forward for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award.

Sandra Alves and Paulo Virissimo were described as two people who always work very hard by nominator Mariana Virissimo.

She used to work with them when they were general shop assistants, but now they are manager and deputy manager.

‘During the Covid-19 situation they fought as much as they could to maintain the security for all the customers,’ she said.

‘They also ensured that each and every individual could get their essential products.’

She added they deserved winning the award for all their hard work during the coronavirus lockdown.

‘I remember these two starting their work day at 5am and coming home at 10pm,’ she said.

‘They are entitled to one day off but sometimes wouldn’t even have this.

‘They never stepped back because they wanted to deliver the best support to the community.

‘As with all the other essential workers, I do believe that these should be recognised as they stayed on the front line and they still are until now – the whole team has been great.’
