‘ONE of the hardest-working people I have ever met’, is Emma Adkins, according to her anonymous nominator.
She has been put forward alongside her team of hairdressers for the Cherry Godfrey-sponsored Customer Service of the Year award.
‘They are not only hairdressers,’ added Tom Adkins, who also nominated her for the award, ‘They go way above their duties.’
Emma and the team work within Le Grand Courtil Supported Living Accommodation. Their clients include residents and non-residents alike.
‘She is an outstanding personality. She goes over and above for every client she has – nothing is too much trouble.’
Both nominators mentioned Emma’s caring personality.
‘You don’t just go to see Emma for your hair,’ said the anonymous nominator, ‘You also go for coffee and a chat.
‘Her door is always open.’
‘She never turns anyone away and she’s a good shoulder to cry on,’ added Tom.
‘She is always available no matter what time of day. No question is too big or small.’
‘Emma deserves to be recognised for the beautiful, kind, caring person that she is,’ agreed the anonymous nominator.
‘Not even two lockdowns could stop this girl helping others where she could.’
During the pandemic, Emma kept up regular contact with her clients to see how they were coping.
‘She really does make a difference in this world.’
