DANIEL ORMROD has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year award, sponsored by Cherry Godfrey.
His nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that his work at Argent Funeral Care makes customers feel at ease.
‘Social distancing restrictions meant it was hard for families to have the funerals they wanted, but Daniel still went the extra mile while following the guidelines,’ they said.
‘He has worked his way up the ladder in a job that he loves, a career that is not suited to everyone.
‘It does not matter if it is an older or younger person, Daniel makes sure to learn a bit of history about everyone and to include personal touches in the funeral arrangements.
‘For example, if the deceased supported a particular football team, Daniel will incorporate that into the service.’
Daniel makes the customers feel at ease by going above and beyond for their needs.
‘He has had to arrange funerals for people he has known – the job is hard but rewarding.’
‘You have to be a special kind of person to do it.’
