This family-run business is a favourite of Mrs Loaring, who is considered a regular by the staff.

‘I go to the tea room at least once, sometimes twice a week,’ she said.

In particular, Mrs Loaring praised the ‘cheerful’ attitudes of the staff, who she said always make conversation with her and greet her each time that she visits.

‘They don’t leave you standing at the door when you arrive and always say ‘bye’ and ‘see you soon’ when you leave,’ she commented.

‘There is always a welcome when you arrive, the food is excellent and they work hard at making the tea room as friendly as it can be.’

Mrs Loaring said that in addition to the bright environment, she loves the ‘fantastic food and lovely cakes’ that are served and wants the efforts of the staff to be recognised.

‘Pham and Camille are brilliant. I would give the Cobo Tea Rooms 10 out of 10 – it’s my favourite.

‘The cakes are to die for.’
