CHLOE DOMAILLE has been nominated for the Young Achiever award, which is sponsored by St Pierre Park.

‘Chloe is the first Royal Guernsey junior captain since Aimee Ponte, she won the Guernsey Junior Girls Championships again this season and has become one of the best female players in the island’, said nominator Andre Austin.

‘She is a fantastic role model and also helps on the Junior Committee and she has recently created a roll-up matchplay league bringing blue, red tee and white tee players together.’

Chloe, who is 17, was appointed as the junior captain of the Royal Guernsey Golf Club for 2021 at the start of this year.

‘I have been golfing for about five years. It started as a hobby because my dad plays as well so he got me into it’, said Chloe.

‘I enjoy it. It is really good fun.’

Chloe recently played at the Girls Championship where she retained her title. She will also play at the Ladies Open.

Alongside her golfing achievements, Chloe is a sixth form student at The Ladies’ College where she studies maths, chemistry and German.

‘I would say that this is a tremendous honour for her and that we are delighted with her both as a truly gifted golfer and as a lovely, modest young lady’, said Marian Loveridge.

‘Her progress has been wonderful and we look forward to her further progression in the sport. She is the junior team captain and has carried out her duties confidently.’
