Angel of the Year: Eve Warrington

EVE WARRINGTON is a ‘caring and compassionate’ rheumatology nurse who has been nominated for the Ravenscroft-sponsored Angel of the Year award.

‘I see this nomination as a way to thank Eve and her team for looking after me so brilliantly over the past five years,’ nominator Steven John Greenway said.

He said he was impressed with Eve’s care and hard work on his visits to the photo-therapy department, the fracture unit and also more recently the rheumatology department at the ‘wonderful’ Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

He first met Eve around 10 years ago and has been cared for by her on various occasions since then.

Each time, he has always appreciated her ‘kindness and compassion’ and how she encouraged him on his way to recovery when he a knee replacement.

‘I am sure that she treats other islanders the same as the way she treated me on my numerous visits – brilliantly, with wonderful care. Thank you so much Eve’.

Eve has worked at the hospital since February 2009 and said she enjoyed everything about her job.
