Arts Contribution of the Year: Ellie Evans

‘AMAZING’ singer and guitarist Ellie Evans has been nominated for this year’s Arts Contribution award, which is sponsored by Moonpig.

‘AMAZING’ singer and guitarist Ellie Evans has been nominated for this year’s Arts Contribution award, which is sponsored by Moonpig.

Nominator Erin Mansell said: ‘Every time I watch Ellie perform she never fails to amaze me. She is so talented.’

Ellie said that she first started singing as part of a church choir but now has aspirations of a career in singing.

‘I am hoping to become a backup singer or session singer,’ she said.

Recently, Ellie has been contributing to the Guernsey Street Festival as well as in other events on-island.

‘Ellie is such an amazing singer and always puts so much effort into her performances,’ Erin continued, ‘she has recently been performing at the Guernsey Street Festival and she also plays around Town generally.

‘She has just finished her first year at the Academy of Contemporary Music in London.’

Ellie said that she is ‘really enjoying’ her university course so far and is excited to produce her own music in the future.

‘I have produced one song already but would like to produce more of my own music.’
