The Edmundson Irregulars Cricket Club has nominated Hilton for saving John Greenfield’s life after he had a heart attack.
‘Had Hilton not been there, John would not have survived,’ said John’s team mate Jordan Gallienne.
As the ambulance was on the way Hilton was trusting in his training as a former paramedic and working to save John’s life.
‘It’s an incredible story really,’ said Jordan. Everyone in the club was impacted by the emotional experience, he said.
‘I’m proud and happy I could’ve helped, I was just lucky I was there,’ said Hilton when he was told had had been nominated.
He said he was grateful to the people who nominated him and said the knowledge learned as a paramedic never goes away.
‘I was very focused on what needed doing and what I could do,’ said Hilton.
