Sadie Rosamond

Sadie Rosamond has been nominated for the Parent(s) of the Year award

SADIE Rosamond has overcome numerous setbacks in her life yet repeatedly puts on a brave face to support her family.

‘She truly is one of a kind and is the strongest woman I know. She had breast cancer five years ago and during her radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment we lost her mum to lung cancer, and shortly after her dad,’ said nominator Alexia Rosamond.

‘Two years before her cancer we also lost my dad’s mum to dementia and my uncle in a motorbike crash in the UK. Before, during and after her cancer she was always there for anyone who needed her.’

During this time Sadie has also taken over her parents’ private home care business.

She said nothing would get in the way of supporting her children and family.

‘I would walk over hot coals for them, when you think of a time when you can’t be there to look out for them it’s horrible – so I want to do as much as I can while it's possible.’
