Jamie Marsh

Jamie Marsh has been nominated for the Pride of Guernsey Overcoming Adversity award

Jamie was attacked and sustained life-threatening injuries in a robbery at Vale Service Station in April this year, but since that day Jamie has stayed positive and wants to return to work as soon as he can.

‘We never thought he’d come back, he’s done so much better than we thought, building his confidence by visiting and we believe he will beat his attacker,’ said Mike Lucas, his nominator.

Jamie has been working at the Vale Service Station for eight years and looks forward to going back once he’s fully recovered.

‘I’m very proud of being nominated,’ said Jamie when he was told about his nomination.

‘Loads of people around me have given me so much confidence and I’ve realised since then how many friends care,’ he said.

Despite the rough time Jamie has been through, he is working to come back to the Vale Service Station, and ‘has stayed positive about his future,’ said Mike.
